This video reaffirms my choice to use public transport. An hour sitting on the floor is still better than driving.

According to the accompanying story, the PT lady used a tram between Southern Cross and Federation Square, and had to wait quite a few minutes for it. This probably added quite a bit of time to her trip, compared to changing onto a suburban train to Flinders St. An interesting exercise though.
Yes, I dont know why they didnt just swap onto a suburban train.
